   Trace Magazine knows how to throw a party. World music from Africa and Arabia spun by DJ Nickodemus and DJ Nightshade, live beats by Nappy G the percussive backbone of Giant Step, people who come to dance and no doorman attitude. You can hear Cleopatra in New York by Nickodemus on Stephane Pompougnac's Hotel Costes series, Etage 3 which is a great disc.

Leandro Herbstein of Putumayo World Music was in the house. Shakti, the first Indian Hip-Hop Diva, was chillin on her way into town from somewhere. There was DJ IMergeandSee and lots of hot bodies. Everybody was shakin!

   The Culture Clash was more of a melding of cultures as everybody from everywhere got their groove on together. Cielo is a clean club with a great sound system and a wide-open dance floor. It's music and a vibe that's a real break from the scene.

   Thanks Trace and Ay Papi Productions. Let's do it again. We want to dance!
