NEW YORK, 24 March 2006 - Cyndi Lauper made her Broadway debut in "The Threepenny Opera."
After the show Cyndi celebrated with Lite-FM radio personality Valerie Smaldone at Tony’s Di Napoli, the Italian restaurant famous for Broadway stars.
The ‘tres VIP’ celebrants included actor Carlos Leon, father of Madonna’s daughter Lourdes, actor Alan Cumming, who also stars in the play,
and Michael Musto from the Village Voice.
Valerie sees Cyndi's debut as the fulfillment of a Broadway dream.
She declares that everybody wants to be on Broadway because it is
the most thrilling stage. She hopes Cyndi's presence will entice a new crowd to Broadway.
Valerie from the Bronx and Cyndi from Queens formed a nice duo sharing their experiences on the mic,
two girls just having fun.
